Botox results generally last between 3 to 4 months. You will begin to see the effects within 3 to 5 days, with full results appearing at the 2-week mark. As the treatment wears off, muscle activity gradually returns, and wrinkles will begin to reappear. To maintain a consistently smooth appearance, most patients schedule "touch-up" treatments every 3 to 4 months.
There is No Downtime
You can return to your normal daily activities immediately. You may experience tiny, bug-bite-like bumps at the injection sites, but these typically disappear within 15–30 minutes. To ensure the best results, we recommend avoiding lying flat, rubbing the treated area, or performing intense exercise for 4 hours after your appointment.
Most patients compare the sensation to a quick bug bite or a tiny pinch that lasts only a few seconds. Because the needles are ultra-fine, the discomfort is minimal and no numbing is required. Afterward, you may feel a slight pressure at the injection site, but this fades almost immediately. The entire injection process typically takes less than 10 minutes.
The number of units varies based on your unique facial structure, muscle strength, and aesthetic goals. On average, the FDA-approved dosing for the three most common areas is 20 units for the forehead, 20 units for the "11 lines" between the brows, and 24 units for crow’s feet. During your consultation, our MD/PA-C will provide a personalized assessment to determine the exact amount needed for a natural, refreshed look.
Our treatments are performed by one of our medical providers (MD/PA-C) only. Trained estheticians and other medical staff may assist as well, but are not allowed to inject.
